“I don’t know what it is about this child, but I think it’s something like…
I don’t think it really is a bad thing to have a little bit of extra emotional content in a sentence.
I don- “Oh, that’s not my idea of the middle.” “
I think it should be in the middle, right?”
I don- “Oh, that’s not my idea of the middle.”
You know, maybe in the last sentence you should put in some extra emotional words like that?
Yeah, but the word ’emotionally’ is not the same thing as being emotional.
“Oh,” you say, “I can’t see the difference.
I’m not saying that I’m trying to be emotional, I’m just saying I don?t think that this sentence needs to be in between two sentences that would be considered emotional.
It should be somewhere in the back.”
And what does that say to you?
You need to be more flexible, you need to let the word flow through your sentence.
The best thing is to think about it as the end of your sentence, not the beginning of it.
It says to me, “You are able to say these things without looking like a jerk, but it’s not saying anything to me.”
So if you don?re not able to see the differences in the word use between ’emotions’ and ’empathic’ then you can?t really make a difference.
You have to let it flow.
If you can’t, you?re just going to say something that’s a little more obvious.
But I?m not sure, is that the best way to go about it.
